Azita Ghanizada

Azita is a native of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. She is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and was granted asylum to remain. Her parents raised her sisters who resided in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada's on-air camera career being featured in several National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in the Laura Neri's production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of her performance, she was nominated during the Festival of Cannes for Best Actress. The actress has also appeared on television programs like How I Met Your Mother as well as Entourage, Veronica Mars, The Wedding Bells NuMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. The most recent role she has played is the role of a supporting character on the show Blood Shot, (2009) - based on the science fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada first appeared in the General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital, Night Shift, Ghanizada appeared as Dr. Saira Bhatra who is a holistic doctor.
